Fans at the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) dropped their jaws when the new trailer for Thor Ragnarok was presented to Marvel fans and now that trailer can be seen on YouTube and Twitter.  Brandon Davis of Comicbook.com wrote that, "Marvel Studios conquered Hall H of the San Diego Comic Con," as it released trailers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the Thor Ragnarok panel, at present were producer Kevin Feige, director Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, Rachel House, Tessa Thompson and Cate Blanchett.

Since the trailer has been in YouTube last July 22, 2017, there have been over 34 million views.

It looks like there's a space epic vibe to the third installment of Thor which is quite different from the first film and more reminiscent of the Guardians of the Galaxy.  This may be done on purpose since Thor and the Guardians will link up in the Avengers: Infinity War movie.

The soundtrack for the trailer is somewhat different too since it sounded more 80's synth beats and the titles had a 3-D red-and-blue palette.  The first trailer played Led Zeppelin's The Immigrant Song which was partly apt since there's a line there about the hammer of the gods.

Hela was introduced at the first trailer as was Skurge played by Cate Blanchett and Karl Urban respectively.  Hela is the Norse goddess of Death and queen of Niflheim, one of the Nine Realms.  However, Skurge the Executioner was the powerful partner of the Enchantress since the Sixties in the Thor comics but it seems that now he is the strong arm of Hela in this movie.

In the second trailer, Thor tells part of his story of why he eventually found himself as a gladiator fighting the Hulk. He had to do some soul searching after Hela destroyed Mjolnir which them led him to a world where the Grandmaster indulges in superpowered beings fighting.  Fortunately, Thor and Hulk patch up and agree to help each other to go back to Asgard and save it, sealing it with a fist bump.

This time around in this trailer, there is more to see of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) who fights with Thor although it looks like she doesn't start out as one of the good guys.  Again in Norse myth, when warriors die in the battlefield, Valkyries claim these fallen warriors and then the warriors dine with the gods in Valhalla.

Regarding the second trailer, if there's one reason that the third Thor film has a by-line Ragnarok, it's because of Surtur, the Fire Giant of Muspelheim.  In an epic teaser shown at the final part of the trailer the Hulk and Surtur face off.

Surtur is the one.  He's the guy who will bring Ragnarok, the Norse version of Armageddon which is the end of the all things and in this case the Nine Realms.

Another big treat is possible the appearance of Fenrir wolf which was briefly shown for a few seconds, another character based on Norse Eddas or the tales of the Gods.

Will the Midgard Serpent make an appearance?  We shall see.  In the Eddas, Thor fights the Midgard Serpent at Ragnarok and falls.

Thor Ragnarok will be screened at your favorite cinemas in November 2017.
